"This is the glorious privilege of His faithful ones." (Psalm 149:9)

What privilege? Of being redeemed by the precious blood of Jesus. Of being born again, by the Word of God which lasts for ever. Of being acknowledged as the children of God.

"Dear friends, we are already God's children---we know that we will be like Him, for we shall see Him as He really is." (1 John 3:2)

Jesus is not ashamed to call us brothers and sisters. (Hebrews 2:11) We are heirs of God. Since we are His children we are His heirs. In fact, together with Christ we are heirs of God's glory. (Romans 8:17)

We have been delivered from sin to serve God in liberty and holiness –for as long as we live.

One day we shall sit in judgement with the Lord Jesus.

"I will display My glory." (Leviticus 10:3)

God created the world and preserves it that He may be glorified.

On that first Christmas an angel of the Lord stood before the shepherds and "the glory of the Lord shone around them, and they were greatly afraid. Then the angel said to them, 'Do not be afraid, for behold I bring you good tidings of great joy, which will be to all people. For there is born to you this day in the City of David a Saviour, who is Christ the Lord.-----Suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God and saying ,'Glory to God in the highest, and on earth, peace, goodwill toward men.' " (Luke 2:9-14)

Cast out our sin and enter in, be born in us today!
We hear the Christmas angels the great glad tidings tell-

"Stand firm against him, and be strong in your faith." (1 Peter 5:9)

Satan, our unwearied enemy, aims to destroy our faith and our usefulness. He gets access to our minds. We are called upon to resist him, steadfastly believing God's word, faithfulness and love. We trust in the Lord Jesus – Satan's chief enemy.

Is Satan the destroyer?- Jesus is the Saviour. Is Satan the enemy? – Jesus is the Friend. Is Satan the tempter? – Jesus is the Deliverer. Is Satan the chief liar? – Jesus is the Truth. Is Satan the accuser? Jesus is our Advocate. Is Satan the prince of darkness? – Jesus is the Light of Life. Is Satan a murderer?- Jesus is the Resurrection. Is Satan god of this world? Jesus is GOD OVER ALL.

Resist the devil in the faith and he will run from you. Be strong in the Lord.

"His soul shall live at ease." (Psalm 25:13)

Believers honour God and trust His Word. They love God, and want to please Him in all things. They are looking for the coming again of the Lord Jesus.

Does this describe you? It is said of such "His soul shall live in goodness." They are free from fear and anxieties, living in a state of contentment and peace.

Why so? God is their God- the precious promises are their security- a complete salvation shields them from harm- Christ is their Advocate, Captain and Shepherd. They have daily fellowship with God, and heaven is their final home. God will supply every need- silence every fear- and finally exalt them to peace and honour.

Don't be worried about anything. Cast every care upon God, and live at ease!

Then the world my heart possessed;
Now I taste heavenly pleasure,
Since the Lord has made me blest;
I can witness,
Jesus gives His people rest."

"They shall not be ashamed who wait for Me." (Isaiah 49:23)

This precious promise guarantees that the person who waits on God in prayer will not be disappointed or put to shame. It assures us that the Lord will answer and bless in His own time and in His own way.

Are you tempted and tried?- wait for the Lord. Are you sick?- wait upon God. He will not let you be ashamed.

Abraham waited for a child, and received the promise when he was very old. Joseph waited in prison, and was promoted to great honour. David waited as a shepherd, and became the king.

"They that wait upon the Lord, shall renew their strength;
They shall mount up with wings as eagles.
They shall run and not be weary; they shall walk and not faint.
Teach me, Lord. Teach me ,Lord, to wait."

"Oh, keep my soul and deliver me." (Psalm 25:20)

True prayer is to God the Father, in the precious name of Jesus.

As we read the Bible we find many examples of effective prayer. Let us pray as "those who are moved by the Holy Spirit." (2 Peter 1:21)

Today, let us pray: "Lord, keep my soul- from sin, and from Satan. Keep me in Your Way, by Your Word and by Your Spirit. Deliver me from guilt, fear and shame. Let me be clothed in Your righteousness, cleansed by the precious blood of Jesus and led by the Holy Spirit."

"In shadow of Your wings
Hide me in times of strife;
And as the apple of Your eye
Preserve and guard my life." (Psalm 17:8)

การอธิษฐานที่แท้เป็นการอธิษฐานต่อพระเจ้าพระบิดา ในพระนามอันล้ำค่าของพระเยซู

ขณะที่เราอ่านพระคัมภีร์ เราพบตัวอย่างมากมายของคำอธิษฐานที่มีประสิทธิภาพ ขอให้เราอธิษฐานดั่งผู้ที่ "พระวิญญาณบริสุทธิ์ทรงดลใจ" (2 เปโตร 1:21)

"I will give you the blessings I promised to David." (Acts 13:34)

These blessings are exactly what the sinner needs- for all our physical and spiritual needs for time and eternity.

They are covenant blessings. God, who cannot lie, has promised them in response to the sufferings and death of the Lord Jesus; and the Holy Spirit enables us to receive them.

They are promised to us in the Bible, and freely given out of the fullness of Jesus.

These mercies are given unconditionally to all who come with simple faith.

The invitation is "Come and receive freely."

"The soul that in Jesus has found its repose,
He will not, He cannot desert to its foes;
That soul, though all hell shall endeavour to shake,
He'll never, no never, no never forsake."
(Hymn "How Firm A Foundation")
