"You do not belong to yourself." (1 Corinthians 6:19)
Yes! If you are a believer, Jesus has bought you with His own blood, blessed you with the Holy Spirit, and intends you to share in the glories of heaven forever.
He claims you, and says "I have called you by your name, you are Mine." (Isaiah 43:1) He will provide for you as His own, and favour you as a man favours his own child. You are as His much loved bride; and are a member of "His body" - the church. You need to remember at all times that you are His, He freely gave you all that you have, and all that you have is His.
Think more of Jesus than of His gifts; stay close to Him and not to what you may be called upon to surrender. If He takes from you, it is to teach you; to lead you to lean more upon Himself; and to find blessing in His company and grace. Do you show by your daily life that you belong to Jesus?
