"They are the enemies of the cross of Christ" (Phillipians 3:18)
The Christian glories in the cross of Christ. The cross is central to our salvation; this is the foundation of our faith and the place where the Lord displays all the perfection of His character. It is the key to heaven.
Let us so live that we never bring dishonour on the Lord who died on the cross that we might live for evermore.
"As for me, may I never boast about anything except the cross of our Lord Jesus. Because of that cross, my interest in this world has been crucified, and the world’s interest in me has also died." (Galatians 6:14)
"Be still my soul; the Lord is on your side;
Bear patiently the cross of grief or pain;
Leave to your God to order and provide;
In every change He faithful will remain.
