"Search the Scriptures." (John 5:39)
The Bible is a gift from God; it is intended to lead us to a knowledge of the nature, perfections, will and salvation of God. It contains all that is really necessary to be known. It should be read carefully, prayerfully and frequently; every part of the Bible should be read, meditated upon and prayed over. It makes us wise unto salvation, through faith that is in Christ Jesus.
We need the Holy Spirit's help to understand the Bible; and we need the Bible to know the mind of God. Praying, reading and thinking should go together.
Let the Bible be the every-day book. In it God speaks to your soul; by it He will make you holy, direct your steps, and give you joy and peace.
"Search the Scriptures daily." (John 5:39)
"Open my eyes so that I may see wonderful things in Your law." (Psalm 119:18)
"God's law is perfect, and converts
The soul in sin that lies:
God's testimony is most sure,
And makes the simple wise." (Psalm 19:7)
