"They were tempted." (Hebrews 11:37)
They were tried by Satan and his agents- and the aim was to draw them away from the Lord. Their trials were cruel but they found that the Lord strengthened them. Believers will be tried. Satan is not dead. The world is opposed to Christians and we have within us a tendency to sin.
"Resist the devil and he will flee from you." (James 4:7)
It is not a sin to be tempted, but it is sin if we give way to temptation.
Be on guard! Keep close to Jesus, the great Shepherd of the sheep. Let us aim to do all things for God’s glory.
"God blesses those who patiently endure testing and temptation. Afterwards they will receive the crown of life that God has promised to those who love Him." (James 1:12)
"Have we trials and temptations?
Is there trouble anywhere?
We should never be discouraged;
Take it to the Lord in prayer.
Do your friends despise, forsake you?

ถ้าสหายดูหมิ่นเกลียดชังท่าน จงเร่งนำทุกสิ่งเข้าเฝ้า
แล้วทรงยื่นพระหัตถ์รับท่าน ไว้ ท่านจึงได้รับความบรรเทา
